Reverse description A seated allegorical figure of Britannia is depicted facing left, holding a trident in her right hand and resting her left arm upon a shield decorated with the Union Flag. Britannia is helmeted and classically draped, rendered in a bold neoclassical style by engraver Philip Nathan. The inscription BRITANNIA arcs above the central device, while ONE OUNCE FINE SILVER and the date 2006 appear in the lower portion of the field. The engraver's initials PN are present adjacent to the date.
