| Aanvullende informatie |
Issued to mark the 80th anniversary of Operation Dynamo, the May–June 1940 evacuation that lifted roughly 338,000 Allied troops from the beaches of northern France using a fleet that ranged from Royal Navy destroyers down to requisitioned pleasure craft and fishing vessels. The Isle of Man had its own direct connection: Manx fishing boats were among the civilian vessels called into service.
This is the second Dunkirk-themed £2 from the Isle of Man, the first having appeared in 2010 for the 70th anniversary.
