The Tourist Trophy races have been held on the Isle of Man's public roads since 1907, making the TT one of the oldest and most dangerous motorsport events still running. The Isle of Man Government has issued commemorative coinage tied to the TT for decades — the series predates most modern bimetallic programs from comparable jurisdictions. This 2023 issue marks one of the first TT-themed coins struck under Charles III's effigy following the accession in September 2022.
