正面描述 The copper-nickel centre features the uncrowned, bare-headed effigy of King Charles III in right-facing profile, modelled by engraver Glyn Davies, his initials GD appearing below the truncation. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine sculptural detail. The legend KING CHARLES III arcs along the upper portion of the nickel brass outer ring, with ISLE OF MAN continuing to the right, and the date 2024 appearing below, all separated by raised dot stops.

附加信息

Castle Rushen, the subject of this issue, is one of the best-preserved medieval castles in the British Isles — a limestone fortress in Castletown that served as the seat of the Lords of Mann and, later, as a prison. The Isle of Man has long used its coinage to document Manx heritage that Westminster has no incentive to commemorate, a consequence of the island's status as a Crown Dependency outside the United Kingdom's legislative reach.

Charles III coinage from the Isle of Man entered circulation following his accession in September 2022, with the Manx government moving independently of the Royal Mint's production timeline.
