Obverse description Uncrowned effigy of King Charles III facing left, rendered in high relief after the portrait by sculptor Martin Jennings. The bare-headed bust is finely detailed, capturing the King's mature likeness with naturalistically rendered hair and facial features. The circumferential legend reads CHARLES III·D·G·REX·F·D·2 POUNDS·2025, separated by raised dots and arranged around the periphery of the deeply mirrored field. The engraver's initials MJ appear in small incuse letters below the truncation of the bust. The proof surface contrasts the frosted effigy against the highly polished field.

Reverse description A richly detailed panoramic cityscape of ancient Athens rendered in fine low to medium relief fills the entire field. The composition depicts the classical city as it would have appeared in antiquity, with a dense urban landscape of temples, colonnaded stoas, fortification walls, arched bridges, and gardens receding toward the rocky Acropolis crowned by the Parthenon and ancillary structures in the upper right background. Prominent neoclassical temple facades with Doric columns occupy the middle left of the design, while tree-lined open spaces and a circular monument animate the foreground. The legend ATHENS is inscribed in serif capitals at the upper portion of the field, set against a dramatically frosted sky contrasting with the polished background.
