| Obverse description | Central field displays two crossed heraldic shields arranged in saltire: the dexter shield bears a rampant eagle, the arms of the Bishopric of Chur, while the sinister shield displays the arms of the von Mont family. The shields are surmounted by a bishop's mitre rendered in low relief. The entire design is set within a beaded border, characteristic of hammered billon coinage of the period. |
