Additional information

Ulrich VI von Mont served as Prince-Bishop of Chur from 1661 until his death in 1692, presiding over a diocese that occupied a strategically awkward position between the Swiss Confederacy and Habsburg territorial ambitions. The Bishopric retained its own minting rights throughout this period, though output was modest and these small billon pieces circulated primarily within the Graubünden valleys rather than any broader regional economy.

At 0.20 g, production tolerances would have been nearly impossible to hold consistently, and survivors show considerable variation in flan preparation.
