| 背面描述 | Plain zinc field enclosed by a continuous dotted border along the inner rim. The word 'Wert' (meaning 'value') arcs along the upper portion of the field, while the denomination '2 Pfg.' is displayed prominently in large incuse characters occupying the centre of the coin. The numeral '2' appears to the left and the abbreviation 'Pfg.' to its right, all rendered in a bold, utilitarian typeface typical of German industrial notgeld tokens. |

Issued by a saccharin manufacturer operating outside Magdeburg during the First World War, this token belongs to the vast emergency coinage — Kriegsgeld — that flooded Germany after 1914 when the Reich's metal coinage effectively vanished from circulation hoarded or melted. Industrial firms, municipalities, and merchant associations issued their own scrip simply to make change. Saccharin-Fabrik A.-G. was one of the larger chemical producers in the region, and tokens like this were redeemable at company facilities or approved local merchants.
The zinc composition reflects wartime metal rationing, with copper and nickel diverted to military production from 1915 onward.
