| 背面描述 | The octagonal field is bordered by an outer pearl rim following the coin's profile. An inner rope-twist circle frames the central field, within which the large numeral '2' is rendered in bold raised relief. The circular legend 'KLEINGELDERSATZMARKE' ('small change substitute token') runs along the upper arc between the rope border and the pearl rim. Three small six-pointed stars are arranged symmetrically in the lower segment of the inner field, below the numeral, serving as decorative separators. The overall design is plain and functional, consistent with wartime and post-war German industrial notgeld issues. |

Frank'sche Eisenwerke operated the Adolfshütte ironworks in the Westerwald region, and like many German industrial concerns in the early twentieth century, issued its own factory token coinage — Werksgeld — to pay workers in scrip redeemable only at the company store. Zinc was the material of necessity: cheap, available, and easily distinguished from official coinage. The two-pfennig denomination sits at the lowest rung of such systems, used for fractional canteen transactions where brass or iron tokens were considered wasteful to produce.
