| 背面描述 | The denomination and date are arranged in three horizontal lines across the central field, reading '2 / PFEN / 1785', with the mintmaster's initials 'D S' appearing below the date. A circular legend surrounds the central device, reading 'GR LIPP SCHEIDE M' (Grafschaft Lippe Scheidemünze), interrupted by asterisks used as punctuation marks. The lettering is rendered in a bold serif typeface typical of late eighteenth-century German minor coinage. The overall layout is functional and unadorned, consistent with the subsidiary circulation coinage of the period. |

Lippe's guardianship coinage of 1785 fills an administrative gap left when the reigning count died before his heir came of age. Louis Henry Adolphus, as guardian regent, had the legal authority to strike coin in the minor Frederick William Leopold's name — a procedural necessity for a territory that could not allow a vacuum in issuing authority, however brief.
The billon content here is notably low even by late 18th-century German small-change standards, reflecting Lippe's limited resources as one of the smaller imperial counties.
