Obverse description The heraldic rose of the County of Lippe occupies the central field, depicted as a stylised five-petalled bloom with a dotted seed-head at its centre, surrounded by radiating petals and flanked by decorative foliate elements. A crown surmounts the rose at the top, emphasising the sovereign character of the device. The entire design is contained within a beaded inner border, with a reeded rim encircling the outer edge of the flan. No legend appears on the obverse; the rose alone serves as the territorial symbol of the Lippe dynasty.
