| Reverse description | The reverse of this octagonal emergency token displays a prominent large numeral '2' centered within a twisted rope circle, denoting the denomination of 2 Pfennig. The legend KLEINGELDERSATZMARKE — meaning 'small change substitute token' — arcs around the upper and lower periphery between the outer beaded rim and the rope border. Three six-pointed stars are evenly spaced along the lower arc, serving as decorative separators within the field. The overall design is utilitarian and characteristic of German municipal Notgeld issues of the inflationary period circa 1920. |
