Obverse description Central device features the eagle of Brandenburg-Prussia displayed within a plain inner circle, with a shield or heraldic charge at its breast. The surrounding legend reads NVMMVS RAVENSBERG in Latin characters, identifying the issuing county. The hammered flan exhibits characteristic irregular edges and uneven surface texture typical of early seventeenth-century German minor coinage. The design is rendered in low relief with somewhat crude workmanship consistent with small-denomination copper issues of the period.
