| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a crowned quartered shield bearing the arms of Inner Austria, surmounted by an archducal crown. The shield is flanked on either side by decorative curved flourishes or branches in a Mannerist style typical of late 16th-century Habsburg coinage. The last two digits of the date, '96', appear in the lower portion of the field below the shield. The overall design is rendered in low relief consistent with hammered technique, with an irregular flan edge characteristic of the period. |

| Reverse description | The reverse of this small hammered silver Pfennig is essentially uniface in practical terms, presenting a flat, unstruck or weakly impressed surface with no intentional design, legends, or devices, consistent with the simple two-pfennig coinage of Inner Austria produced at the Graz Mint during the late 16th century. The plain field shows natural flan irregularities resulting from the hammering process. |
