| Beschrijving voorzijde | Three heraldic shields arranged in a triangular composition: the upper shield bears a double-headed imperial eagle, while the lower-left shield displays the Styrian panther (depicted spitting fire, associated with Graz) and the lower-right shield displays the Austrian fess. The date is divided and appears on either side of the upper shield, reading in the example shown '16 24', with the initial 'F' (for Ferdinand) also present in the field. The design is executed in the late Renaissance heraldic style typical of early seventeenth-century Austrian coinage. |
