Obverse description Bipartite shield displaying the combined arms of Henneberg (left half, featuring the hen) and Saxony (right half, with the barry field and diagonal ruten), surmounted by a mantle and crowned, and flanked on either side by ornamental palm branches. The initials S, M, and L — abbreviating the ruler's titles — are disposed around the shield in the field, one to each side and one above.

Reverse description Imperial orb (Reichsapfel) set on a crown, its vertical cross-staff rising prominently from the globe and dividing the date 17-07 across the upper field to left and right.
