| 裏面の説明 | Octagonal reverse sharing the same beaded outer border as the obverse. The legend KLEINGELDERSATZMARKE (small change substitute token) curves around the upper and lateral portions of the inner field, flanked at the base by three six-pointed star ornaments arranged in a triangular grouping. The central field contains the large raised numeral '2', enclosed within an inner rope or twisted-cord circle, the whole design executed in a utilitarian wartime emergency style. |

Augsburg's Stadtbachspinnerei was a textile spinning mill drawing power from the Stadtbach, a canal system channeling water through the city since medieval times. Like hundreds of German industrial firms in 1918, it issued its own Notgeld as the imperial economy collapsed under the weight of four years of war — small-denomination iron pieces meant to substitute for hoarded copper and nickel coinage that had long since vanished from circulation.
The Hasselmann reference places this among documented Bavarian industrial emergency issues, distinguishing it from the flood of municipal Notgeld that followed the armistice later that year.
