| Obverse description | Intaglio portrait vignette of independence heroine Policarpa Salavarrieta occupies the left half of the note, set within an ornate guilloche frame with numeral '2' counters at each corner. The right field carries a multicolour guilloche underprint with an ornamental '2' cartouche at centre, flanked by the red serial number printed twice and two manuscript signatures below the titles 'Gerente' and 'Secretario'. The issuer's name arches across the top, with the denomination in bold letterpress at centre and the date and place of issue at foot. |
