The bank title 'El Banco de la República' appears in ornate script across the top, with 'BOGOTA, COLOMBIA' and the date '20 DE JULIO DE 1923' in the lower field. Signature lines for El Gerente and El Secretario are present below the central vignette, with 'DOS PESOS ORO' in a solid panel at the foot of the note.
Opschrift voorzijde	El Banco de la República Pagará al Portador Dos Pesos Oro (Translation: The Bank of the Republic will Pay to the Bearer Two Pesos Oro)
Beschrijving keerzijde	Central oval vignette of a classical Liberty head in profile, surrounded by a circular legend band, set against an elaborate guilloche background with large scrollwork ornaments and numeral 2 devices at each lateral margin. The imprint 'AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY' appears at the foot, with 'DOS PESOS ORO' in a solid panel above it. A signature line for El Cajero is present below the central vignette.
