Opis awersu	Yellow-green underprint with intricate guilloche work framing the central composition. At centre, a large vignette of a jaguar resting on a rocky outcrop; to the lower left, a classical female allegorical figure reclines. The large numeral '2' appears in each upper corner, with the bank title 'EL BANCO ARGENTINO' and denomination 'DOS PESOS FUERTES' in bold letterpress across the centre. The note bears a manuscript date of 1 January 1867, a handwritten serial number, and signature lines for 'EL GERENTE' and 'EL PRESIDENTE' at the lower right.

Opis rewersu	Printed entirely in rose-red on a yellow ground, the reverse is covered by an elaborate all-over guilloche pattern with two large interlocking rosettes at centre, each enclosing the numeral '2'. Small vignettes of a pyramid appear in the four corners, and the bank name is split across the top and bottom margins reading 'EL BANCO' and 'ARGENTINO' in capital letters.
