| Obverse description | Yellow-green underprint with intricate guilloche work framing the central composition. At centre, a large vignette of a jaguar resting on a rocky outcrop; to the lower left, a classical female allegorical figure reclines. The large numeral '2' appears in each upper corner, with the bank title 'EL BANCO ARGENTINO' and denomination 'DOS PESOS FUERTES' in bold letterpress across the centre. The note bears a manuscript date of 1 January 1867, a handwritten serial number, and signature lines for 'EL GERENTE' and 'EL PRESIDENTE' at the lower right. |
