Opmerkingen

El Banco Minero de Chihuahua was one of the few regional banks still attempting to function as a going concern during the chaos of the Mexican Revolution. By 1914, Chihuahua had passed through the hands of federal forces and Villista armies more than once, and bank-issued paper was viewed with open suspicion across the state. The American Bank Note Company plate work is characteristically clean, but the production itself predates the Carranza decree that would nullify all state bank emissions later that year.

Notes from this final 1914 issue circulated briefly before becoming worthless under the new revolutionary monetary order.
