Beschrijving voorzijde	The obverse is printed in blue-black intaglio on white cotton paper. A central vignette shows a steam locomotive emerging from a mountain pass with billowing smoke, set against a dramatic landscape. The bank title EL BANCO DE LA REPÚBLICA and place name BOGOTÁ appear in large ornate lettering across the upper portion, with ESTADOS UNIDOS DE COLOMBIA above; the denomination DOS PESOS is repeated in large guilloche numerals and letters flanking the central vignette, and bilingual promise-to-pay texts appear in the left and right panels in Spanish and English respectively.
