| 备注 |
The Banco Nacional de Cuba was established in 1902, just months after the United States ended its first military occupation of the island. This note dates from the bank's early years, when its currency was effectively pegged to the U.S. dollar and American financial institutions held considerable influence over Cuban monetary policy — a relationship that shaped the institution's structure from the outset.
ABNC printed extensively for Cuban issuers throughout this period. The P#66 series is scarcer than its face value suggests; the 2 Peso denomination saw heavier commercial use than higher values and surviving examples in decent condition are relatively few.
