| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in black on white paper and carries the heading REPUBLICA ARGENTINA at top, with SERIE 006 at upper left and the denomination numeral 2 in the upper corners. A classical allegorical vignette at left shows two cherubs or putti in a pastoral scene, while at right a portrait vignette within an oval frame presents a uniformed military figure in early 19th-century dress. The central text reads EL BANCO PROVINCIAL DE SALTA pagará a la vista y al portador DOS PESOS, with the issuer's name and denomination reinforced in a rectangular panel.
