Obverse description The obverse is printed in black on white paper and carries the heading REPUBLICA ARGENTINA at top, with the Argentine national coat of arms at centre-top. To the left, an allegorical vignette shows two putti with a radiant sunburst. To the right, an intaglio oval portrait vignette of a uniformed military figure. The central text panel reads EL BANCO PROVINCIAL DE ENTRE RIOS pagará á la vista y al portador DOS PESOS, with series and serial number printed in red.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in brown and dominated by a large central allegorical composition in the style of the American Bank Note Company, divided into two scenes: on the left, cherubs and putti amid fruit and cornucopia symbols of agricultural abundance; on the right, a figure of Mercury or Commerce seated on a boat with a sailing ship in the background, accompanied by additional putti. The denomination numeral 2 appears in guilloche cartouches at both left and right margins, with two text panels containing legal notices in Spanish in the lower corners.
