背面描述 The reverse is printed entirely in pink-red ink and consists of an elaborate all-over lathe-work and guilloche pattern. Four large circular rosette medallions are arranged symmetrically across the field, with the numeral 2 in the corner rosettes, and a central oval reserve left blank within an intricate engine-turned surround. A Greek-key border frames the entire design.

备注

The Banco Provincial de Entre-Ríos was one of several Argentine provincial banks that issued their own currency during the decentralized banking period before the 1890 financial crisis forced a sweeping reorganization of the country's monetary system. The Entre Ríos provincial government leaned heavily on paper emissions to finance local infrastructure and administration, and notes like this one circulated in a region economically tied to livestock and riverine trade rather than the Buenos Aires commercial networks that dominated national finance.

The American Bank Note Company's involvement was typical for Latin American provincial issuers of this decade — ABNC supplied security printing to institutions that lacked any domestic high-security press capability. The 1890 Baring Crisis effectively ended the provincial banking experiment in Argentina, and most of these notes were retired within a few years of issue.
