Obverse description Plain cream paper note enclosed within a typeset decorative border of repeated geometric and floral ornamental units. The denomination "2 PESOS." is set in bold letterpress type at centre, above a block of Spanish-language text explaining the note's acceptance at Isla de Malvinas in exchange for goods or in Buenos Aires at sight in metallic currency. A serial number field headed "N.º" with ruled lines for manuscript completion appears in the upper right area.

Este VALE se recibe en esta Isla de MALVINAS en cambio por comestibles, ó géneros, ó en la ciudad de BUENOS AIRES, á la vista en moneda metálica, por via de una órden dada por el que subscribe.
Reverse description The reverse appears plain and unprinted, with no design elements, text, or decorative motifs, consistent with the simple utilitarian production of this early colonial scrip issue.
