| 备注 |
Villahermosa is a small municipality in Ciudad Real province, Castile–La Mancha. During the Spanish Civil War, the Republican zone suffered acute small-change shortages as silver and copper coinage was hoarded or melted, forcing hundreds of local councils — ayuntamientos and consejos municipales alike — to print their own emergency fractional and low-denomination notes. The Consejo Municipal de Villahermosa's 2 Pesetas issue is catalogued under Gari Montenegro, the principal reference for Spanish Civil War local paper money, which lists thousands of such emissions from across Republican-held territory between 1936 and 1939.
Production quality among these municipal issues varied enormously. Many were typeset or rubber-stamped on whatever paper was available locally.
