One of hundreds of local emergency currencies — vals — issued across Catalonia during the Civil War years, when the collapse of normal coin circulation forced cooperatives, municipalities, and trade unions to print their own scrip. The Sindicat Agrícola Cooperatiu de Vic was a farmers' cooperative in the provincial capital of Osona; its notes circulated purely among members and affiliated local businesses, redeemable against goods or credit rather than through any banking mechanism.
Viladot was among the more active Barcelona printers supplying these wartime issues, working under increasingly chaotic conditions as the conflict wore on. AL#3069 is one of the more obscure entries in the Turró-Lluch Catalan Civil War corpus.
