| Anmerkungen |
Génave is a small municipality in the Sierra de Segura, Jaén province. This note is a wartime local emergency emission — one of thousands of small-denomination pieces issued by Spanish town councils during the Civil War after the Republic's centimos and peseta coins vanished from circulation almost immediately following the July 1936 uprising. The Consejo Municipal took over issuing authority by necessity, not by any formal monetary delegation from Madrid.
Thick card stock was the material of last resort for many Andalusian municipalities that lacked access to a proper printer or security paper supply.
