正面描述 Printed in reddish-brown on grey paper, the obverse is entirely typographic in character, enclosed within a decorative floral and geometric border repeated along all four edges. The denomination 'DOS PESETAS' is set in bold display lettering at centre, with the issuing authority 'CONSEJO MUNICIPAL DE CALACEITE' inscribed in a smaller italic typeface immediately below. Validity and issue clauses appear in mixed-case letterpress above and below the denomination, with a handwritten serial number at lower right preceded by 'NUM.'

背面描述 Printed in reddish-brown on grey paper, the reverse is divided into three compositional zones: 'CONSEJO MUNICIPAL' in bold sans-serif lettering across the top panel, and 'CALACEITE' in large display type along the bottom panel. The central field is dominated by a plain oval frame, flanked symmetrically on each side by denomination cartouches reading '2 Ptas.' set within decorative scroll-work vignettes. Facsimile signature lines for 'El Presidente' at lower left and 'El Depositario' at lower right appear with printed signatures beneath each title.

备注

Calaceite is a small municipality in the Teruel province of Aragon, and like hundreds of Spanish towns during the Civil War, its local council issued its own paper currency after the Republic's monetary supply broke down at the local level. These emergency emissions — known collectively as billetes de necesidad — filled a practical gap when coins vanished from circulation through hoarding and melting. The Consejo Municipal issues were not coordinated by any central authority; each town designed and printed independently, which accounts for the extreme variation in quality and format across the series.

Gari Montllor's cataloguing of this emission as 389-C indicates at least three distinct varieties from Calaceite alone.
