| 表面の説明 | Right-facing effigy of King Nicholas I of Montenegro, rendered in high relief as a laureate bust with finely detailed facial features. Montenegro's monetary independence effectively ended with the Austrian occupation of January 1916. This trial strike — dated 1915 — was produced as the kingdom was collapsing around it, making regular issue impossible. Whether it was struck in Montenegro or abroad during the exile of Nikola's government remains an open question among specialists.
KM#Pn6 is one of several pattern and trial pieces from this final period, most of which never progressed to circulation coinage.
