| Obverse description | Central field features a rampant lion facing left, rendered in the late medieval heraldic style characteristic of Swedish coinage of the period. The date 94 (for 1594) appears in the lower portion of the field, flanking the lion. A circular legend surrounds the central device, reading + SIGIS D G REX SVE 94, referencing Sigismund, by the grace of God, King of Sweden.
