Reverse description The large Arabic numeral '2' occupies the centre of the field, surmounted by a St. Edward's Crown. The four-digit date is divided symmetrically on either side of the numeral — the first two digits to the left and the last two to the right — a distinctive convention of British Maundy coinage. The central device is enclosed within a wreath of oak leaves and acorns, tied at the base with a ribbon bow, and the whole design is framed by a fine beaded border.
