| Beschrijving voorzijde | Crowned and draped bust of Charles II facing left, wearing a crown with elaborate ornamentation and long flowing hair falling to the shoulders. The denomination numeral II appears to the right of the effigy in the field. A Latin legend encircles the bust, reading CAROLVS·II·D·G·M·B·F·&·H·REX, with a beaded border surrounding the entire design. The portrait is rendered in the early Restoration milled style, attributed to the workshop of John Roettiers. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The quartered royal arms of England, Scotland, France, and Ireland displayed on a shield occupying the central field, with the cross of St George dividing the quarters: England (three passant guardant lions) in the first and fourth quarters, Scotland (a rampant lion) in the second quarter, France (three fleurs-de-lis) also present, and Ireland (a harp) in the third quarter. A small royal crown surmounts the shield. The circular Latin legend CHRISTO · AVSPICE · REGNO · runs around the periphery, with a beaded border at the rim. The heraldic design is crisp and precise, consistent with the early milled coinage of the Restoration period. |
