| 正面描述 | A stylized rooster depicted in profile facing left, rendered in a crude, primitive manner characteristic of Cambodian hammered coinage of the period. The bird's body is compact and rounded, with short, roughly incised feather lines radiating from the wings and tail. A scroll-like comb is visible above the head, and a wattle is suggested below the beak. The surrounding field is irregular and uneven, consistent with hand-struck production, with no legend or inscription present. |

Cambodia's mid-nineteenth century coinage was produced under the reign of Ang Duong, who sought to reassert Khmer political identity against encroaching Vietnamese and Siamese influence — minting silver currency being one of the few sovereign acts still available to him. French protectorate status arrived in 1863, after which indigenous Cambodian coinage effectively ceased.
