Reverse description A floriated long cross with elaborate foliate terminals occupies the full field, dividing it into four quarters each decorated with floral or foliate ornaments in the Gothic tradition. The encircling Latin legend, rendered in uncial lettering, runs between an inner beaded border and the coin's irregular edge, terminating with the date expressed in a combination of Arabic numerals and a symbol, followed by a small crown. The overall design is characteristic of late fifteenth-century Burgundian hammered silver coinage.
