Obverse description Conjoined shields of the arms of Moldavia and Wallachia displayed side by side: the dexter shield bearing the auroch's head of Moldavia, and the sinister shield bearing the eagle of Wallachia with a crescent and cross, the two shields united beneath an Imperial Russian crown surmounted by a cross. The shields are flanked by laurel branches tied at the base by a ribbon, with the date 1773 inscribed in the exergue below a horizontal line. The Cyrillic legend МОН . МОЛД : И ВАЛОСК. curves along the upper periphery of the field.
