| Obverse description | Obverse displays the Arabic denomination inscription دو پیسه (two paisa) in the upper field, with the AH date ١٣٢٨ below, all rendered in a bold, hand-cut calligraphic style characteristic of Afghan hammered coinage of the period. The legends are set within the irregular rectangular flan, which shows the uneven edges typical of primitive hand-struck production at the Herat Mint. The field surface is flat and unadorned save for the inscriptions. |

| Reverse description | Reverse bears the stylized tughra of Amir Habibullah Khan, the royal monogram rendered in an ornate, interlocking calligraphic composition with sweeping ascenders and looped strokes rising from the central body of the device. The tughra fills the majority of the irregular rectangular flan, executed in the bold, hand-engraved manner typical of late 19th and early 20th century Afghan hammered copper coinage. The surrounding field is plain, and the flan edges are characteristically irregular due to the hand-cutting of the blank prior to striking. |
