| Obverse description | Crude cast copper flan of irregular outline bearing a central device in low relief, heavily worn and showing signs of corrosion with green patina. A horseshoe-shaped or crescent-like motif is discernible in the central field, surrounded by a circular legend in Devanagari script. The overall workmanship is characteristic of the rough hand-cast coinage produced in Nepal during the nineteenth century. The surfaces exhibit extensive pitting and encrustation consistent with prolonged circulation. |
