Obverse description Central field displays a crowned, ornate oval shield bearing the Vasa arms, with the denomination numeral flanking the shield on either side where present. The entire device is enclosed within an inner circle, with the mint legend disposed around the circumference in the outer field. The overall style is characteristic of late sixteenth-century Swedish hammered silver coinage.
