Obverse description A large incuse crown occupies the upper field, with the royal legend GUSTAF VI ADOLF SVERIGES KONUNG raised within rectangular recessed panels below. The word PROV (pattern) appears within a similar indentation, confirming the trial status of the piece. At the base, the mintmark appears to the left and the initials of the Governor of the Riksbank appear to the right, both within the design field. The overall aesthetic employs a distinctive relief treatment with alternating raised and incuse elements characteristic of Swedish experimental coinage of this period.
