Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of George IV facing left, rendered in high relief in the neoclassical style. The king's hair is elaborately curled and bound with a laurel wreath, with a ribbon tied at the nape of the neck. The truncation of the bust is visible at the lower field. The legend GEORGIUS IV D : G : REX. curves along the upper periphery, separated by stops, within a plain border.
