背面描述 The reverse displays a finely detailed, naturalistic depiction of a small fox — likely a fennec or sand fox — crouching in a hunting posture amid stylised reeds and grasses that fill the field. The animal is rendered in high sculptural relief, conveying a sense of movement and alertness. Along the upper rim, the Hebrew legend 'שועלים קטנים שיר השירים ב•טו' (the little foxes, Song of Songs 2:15) is inscribed, with the English translation 'the little foxes Song of Songs 2.15' curving along the lower left periphery. The year of issue '1996' in Western numerals and the Hebrew year 'התשנ״ו' appear at the bottom of the field.

附加信息

Part of Israel's ongoing biblical wildlife series, this issue draws from the Book of Judges — specifically Samson's use of foxes to burn the Philistine grain fields. The Bank of Israel has long used proof silver commemoratives to court diaspora collectors and foreign buyers, a revenue strategy dating to the early 1960s when foreign currency reserves were a persistent concern for the young state.

KM#276 shares its specification with the standard 28.28g/.925 format adopted internationally after the 1980 success of British commemoratives — a deliberate choice to appeal to collectors already buying Royal Mint and similar issues.
