| Obverse description | The obverse features the arms of Guernsey at centre: a shield bearing three golden lions passant guardant arranged vertically, derived from the ancient Norman heraldic tradition. The shield occupies the majority of the field, rendered in high relief with fine engraving detail. A sprig of foliage surmounts the shield at the top. The Latin legend S·BALLIVIE·INSVLE·DE·GERNERE·VE encircles the design, referencing the Bailiwick of the Island of Guernsey. |
