Reverse description The reverse depicts a traditional Guernsey windmill in the centre of the field, shown in three-quarter view with sails and millstone visible, emblematic of the island's agricultural heritage. The denomination NEW 2 PENCE is inscribed in large letters arranged to the left and right of the central motif. The date 1971 appears in large numerals along the lower portion of the field. The design was engraved by Paul Vincze and reflects the distinctive regional imagery introduced for Guernsey's decimal coinage series.
