Reverse description Reverse of this cast copper cash coin features a central square perforation surrounded by three Chinese characters in regular script, disposed around the hole in the conventional Joseon mint-mark arrangement. The character 營 (Yong, denoting the Special Army Unit mint, Oyongchong) appears at the top, the numeral 一 (one, indicating a furnace or series number) at the right, and 列 (Yeol, meaning 'arranged in order') at the bottom, together signifying the issuing authority and production sequence. The raised rim and recessed field display the characteristic surface texture of sand-cast coinage, with areas of brown and green patination consistent with age.
