| 表面の説明 | Central square hole surrounded by a raised rim on both inner and outer edges, characteristic of cast Korean cash coinage. The four-character inscription 常平通寶 (Sangpyong Tongbo) is arranged in cruciform fashion around the central hole: 常 (Sang) at top, 平 (Pyong) at bottom, 通 (Tong) at left, and 寶 (Bo) at right, reading top-bottom then right-left in traditional style. The characters are rendered in regular script (kaishu) within a plain, undecorated field. The legend refers to the Sangpyeongcheong, the Ever-Normal Office responsible for currency regulation during the Joseon Dynasty. |

| 裏面の説明 | Central square hole flanked by two Chinese characters in the field, rendered in regular script (kaishu). The character 捴 (Chong), denoting the Chong'yungcheong (General Military Office), appears at the top, while the character 暑 (So, meaning 'heat' or 'summer'), used here as a series or version identifier, appears at the bottom. The plain field between the inner and outer raised rims is otherwise unadorned. This combination of mint-authority and series characters on the reverse is typical of Joseon-period cash coinage produced under specific government offices. |
