Joseon's cash coinage was administered through a fractured system of issuing offices — military bureaus, royal household agencies, and provincial commands all struck coin independently, which is why "2 mun" pieces from this decade can carry a bewildering array of mint marks and supervisory characters on the reverse. KM#164 corresponds to issues authorized under the military training command, the Hullyeondogam, one of several Seoul-based offices that expanded minting operations after the 1742 royal edict broadened casting authority to relieve chronic coin shortages in the capital markets.
