| 裏面の説明 | The reverse displays three characters or symbols arranged around the central square hole. At the top is the mint mark 統 (Tong), denoting the Tongwiyong (Seoul Military Office Mint). At the bottom is the seasonal cyclical character 秋 (Ch'u), meaning 'Autumn'. At the right position appears the trigram ☳ (震; Chin / Zhen), representing 'the Arousing' from the I Ching bagua system, used as a supervisory or batch identifier. Some specimens additionally bear a small Yin star (dot) at varying positions (approximately 8:50 or 9:10) on the reverse field, serving as a variety marker. All characters and symbols are in raised relief on a plain field. |
